Re: Mobil 1 75w-90 in Transmission?

I took the 4Runner for a drive tonight. It was the first trip out with Mobil 1 synthetic in the rear differential and dual transfer cases plus 3 quarts of Redline MT90 in the transmission topped off with conventional. The purpose of the drive was to slosh the oils around and to see if I fixed the minor leak by replacing the rubber boot on the front transfer case shifter. What I noticed was the entire truck feeling more loose/free and the sound is also different.  It seems a difference has been made though that wasn't really the goal.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved
