So I'm sitting at 2800 rpm, at 55mph. With about a 1/3 pedal travel. Just checked tonight in 5th on highway.

This is with 4.88s and stock tire size.

Stock 20r, weber 32/36, lce street header, and cat.

not bad but do it again with it  in 4th remember 5th gear is an over drive gear and is weak.  Use 4th as much as possible when under a load.

Due to the high compression of the hybrid,  when I build it, should I buy a head shim?  $28. Thickness is 0.020" combustion  chamber opening is 3.756"
 napa.

NO, dont use a shim. get a multi layer steel gasket from D&J Rock or Toyota.   DO NOT USE A FELPRO HEADGASKET

And the guy on Craigslist with  the GM TBI said $600. That sounds VERY high? Am I right.

he's smoking crack, walk away.
