I was complaining to our IT guy a while back that Solidworks licenses were too expensive for guys who want to just fool around and design stuff for themselves. He said that if you work for a company that purchases X amount of SW professional seats, that DS Solidworks allows you to piggyback off those licenses for use on a personal computer. I spoke with our corporate IT manager to confirm, and I now have a legitimate copy of SW2013 on my home computer.
