Just got back from TOP TRUCK CHALLENGE and I have to say , I am worn out , beat and tired . . . The people I met this weekend are some of the coolest people I've had the pleasure of meeting . EVERYONE from the other TTC competitors/teams , the judges , the volunteers and everyone in general . Big props to everyone involved in making this event what it is . I had a blast every day I was there . There was never a dull or boring moment . Everyone was very helpful and very friendly , and we made some lifelong friends . I feel a little sad now that it's over , but I feel really good knowing I competed in TOP TRUCK CHALLENGE . The Macho Taco held up great , it took a beating . We made it to every event , and that makes me happy . After the mud pit , we pressure washed it for over an hour and somehow managed to clog the fuel filter so it wouldn't run right after that . We worked on it till 2 am before finally figuring that out . We rolled the truck on the hill climb . We were at hill #4 and slid sideways and did a complete barrel roll . Thank God for Cali trees , otherwise , we would've kept rolling . The recovery crew was awesome and nothing but professional . We also flopped it over on the driver side on water hole #2 on the Tank Trap , where we broke a front driveshaft trying to get back on all fours . We kept trying but called it after it started smoking . . . Overall , it was a great weekend and I am happy with how we did . Being the smallest rig the bunch , my plan was just to be able to stay in the comp the whole week and be able to keep up with everyone . This was an experience of a lifetime and I want to thank everyone who was a part of it from the bottom of my heart ! ! !
