As far as I know the carrier is the same, it's the third member casting that's different. The casting moves the pinion over a little and the ring gear is a little thinner to make up for this distance at the carrier. So you should be able to just use a regular 8" V6-third Grizzly auto locker or spool. There is only one ring & pinion you can use in this casting, and it's the factory 4.88 only. If I'm wrong about this someone, please correct me.

Some people like the Aussie lunchbox, or the Yukon Spartan. Detroit's are great, which I have in my 4runner (factory 4.88 V6 third) but I hear the Grizzly is getting more popular. I have a Grizzly to install in my other truck and am interested to see how it compares. I hear my Detroit clicking at low speeds sometimes but for the most part it's flawless.

If you daily drive it a lot, I would go auto locker like Grizzly or Detroit. I have never used a spool so I don't know, it depends on how you are going to use the truck, but being IFS that might already answer the question.
