Hey seriously, I was just thinking about this.

Why don't we buy a stock truck and slap some stickers on it, like ARB, Warn, :turtle: , Rancho, etc. and then park it either on a trail in a known crime area or on a street corner.

Have a silent motion alarm that will trigger like your pager, or some kind of audible alarm that is near you.

We can have a camera on the truck at all times to.

Leave the window rolled down, and just wait.. etc..  All you have to do is just - for instance - unplug the fuel pump and it will never go anywhere.

Then just wait for your alarm to go off and then have three guys walk out and confront the guy.

A set up. I've been thinking about this for a while..

how about on top of that, put some power door locks in it with a cheap remote, and disable the inner doorlocks.  Then when they get in, push the button, and whala!!  crook in a cage!  :jail: they cant get out without breakin a window, and you get to stand there and laugh until the cops get there to pick up the pieces and

I know this would require some patience, so we would need to make it desireable. But we might just catch some random joe who is an "opportunist" and not the real Yota criminals....

I think it would be better not to leave the windows down then, make it harder than an "opportunist" would want to mess with  I still like my doorlock idea though :hahaha:  you know, kinda like how the back sieat of a cop car is? no widnow cranks and the door handles aqre there, but they dont do anything becasue they remove the rod that pulls the latch

( I know this because I have a friend who bought an old cop car, and we hada lot of fun having people sit in the back, since it had the divider in it still :hahaha:

You could rig up something similar to child safety locks. Once the sob is caught inside you trigger the remote control tear gas system under the dash and blow the train horn mounted under the seat. That'll get his attention.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

or the mace, shooting out of the windsheild washer sprayer that had been moved inside, right on top of the dash :hahaha: or how about triggers the bomb that blows the SOB of the face of the earth :dunno:  (guess we'd have to make it a pretty junker then, since he isnt going anywhere, we could put a crap drivetrain on it, paint it with spray paint, you know keep it cheap and not running)

or an ejector seat, like in Fast and Furious 2?  But dont cut the roof, let his head do that, and give the seat a good boost, so he flies a good 30-40 feet in the air at least

Does anyone know how much the LoJack system costs? We should get like 10 people together to split the cost and find a really sweet Yota in the Sac area, and if the owner agrees to help out, we could equip his rig with LoJack.

Then just have him drive it normally but always leave his windows cracked a bit or something..
When are most of the Yotas getting ripped off? During the night?

the stick death is funny stuff. Africa has a lot of car jackings. they had 2 different devices that ive seen. one was a big blade that was under your car and whacked of your legs when you tried to jack someone. the other was a flame thrower in the front wheelwell that aimed back towards the door. crispy criminals. i thought those were some great ideas! it was all great until some jerk off criminal civil rights group stepped in and put an end to that. yep! i live in demon-crat California also. home of the bleeding heart. where else can someone break in YOUR HOUSE, fall down YOUR STAIRS, and sue YOU!  and by the way, probably would have to wait that long for someone to try to steal an easy target. maybe 1 or 2 HOURS! its California. where criminals have more rights than the law abiding citizen. i might be a jap. but my blood is RED, WHITE, and BLUE!  :usa: ps. sweet early toy mike!
