Where to buy DOM tubing???

OK Where are all you guys getting your DOM tubing??? up here in oregon they want $8.xx per foot for 1 3/4" .250 wall DOM.... this seems outrageous to me and I always hear that its much cheaper down in cali...... if anyone has a good source for it in northern/central cali and its the right price I will drive down there and buy a large batch..... any help will be much appreciated!!! thanks in advance

its for suspension links it needs to be 1/4"

ah..... yeah, that stuff isn't cheap, there has to be more places around you though.... i found a bunch of metal places in the phone book

I have called any steel dealer oregon has to offer..... not as many motorsports shops using it up here as there are down there is my guess... everyone up here has to order it too...

yuba city scrap and steel down here in yuba city ca wants $11.46 per foot, there are all kinds of places that you could go, like gerlinger steel is really big place to
move or I will run your ass over

8 bucks a foot is wayyyyy cheaper then around here (reno/tahoe).

if it somthing they dont make alot they jack up the price

thats what i was thinking too thats prolly why its so much here is just cause its not very popular metal.... I guess i will just order it here and say to hell with it.... thanks for the input guys

sounds about right you only need it for the lower links anyway what sthat like 8 feet maybe 12 if you want a spare link

1 3/4 .120 DOM runs about $5-$6 a foot here in Az. So $8-$9 for .250 seems about right. When i was buying 1.5 .095 4130 it was like $5 per ft. :yikes:

Theres a place outta bakersfield, I belive its b&b steel. Check them out, my buddy builds sandrails and uses alot of dom thats where he get it.

did you try tube service on swan island ? thats where I got my 2.25x.375  and 2x.250 DOM link material

ya thats where it ended up coming from... I just ordered it from ram steelco here in town and they got it from tube service for me... theyre pretty cool there I have got things from them in the past as well.
