We usually meet at the trailhead @ 9am. I'll be camping at the BV group campsite Thursday night and hauling the 4Runner up to HC. We usually leave @ 7:30 to make it to the HC entrance road by 8:30/8:45. You're welcome to camp out Thursday night or meet us at HC on Friday morning. My brother and friend Jeff from Denver just met us at HC Friday morning. We took all their camping gear and just packed it in the back of people's tow rigs.

If you head to the BV camp Friday morning, you'll have to get there by 7:30 to make getting to HC by 9. It's about 60 miles away. You'd save yourself some mileage and having to get up really really early by just meeting at HC on Friday if you didn't want to camp Thursday night.

I am going to try and make it as well. Prolly roll in Fri night. We camped up 4 mile, had 18 rigs, perfect spot..We ran carnage canyon about 2weeks ago, and ironchest?. Hopefully my yota will be up and running by then..its been down in TX for 2 years, my buddies hauled it up for me, and I have been hitting it hard the last week or so to get it trail worthy. Still need some tires - 36" - 38" size if you have any leads.

I might be driving the whole way there, doesnt sound like the old man is coming with me this year.

Transfer case is out, waiting on the on the gears. Radiator is back in and im waiting on the fan. As soon as that crap is done i am tapping the box, then driving to my buddies and installing the cage.

That is actually the main trail i would like to do this year, so yes. My friend told me about some nice hikes up there if any of you are interested...

National Forest area of Fourmile, just east of Buena Vista

Right at the intersection of 315 & 376. There's a small bicycle logo on the map in that area, that's basically where we set up camp. I'd suggest that anyone trailering their rigs take 305 and head down 376 to the campsite. I made it last year on 315 with a trailer but 305 is much better!!

hey western slope guys..does not look like my truck is going to be ready. I have an aluminum 18ft fb trailer that I can haul you out on if needed for a seat and some diesel..if anyone is interested
