Mike hit it on the nose the torque curve on this engine is impressive. Not as much low end grunt as a 3.4,but a huge improvement over 2/3rz.
I still dont know if I could do another engine swap for 9hp and 3ft/lbs. I'd have to see the dyno sheet on one first. Maybe if the torque was down low. But from the test I've done the 3RZ has dare flat torque band to begin with.

Mike, you've seen my dyno sheets, that not possible. The torque barley moves 20 ft/lbs from idol to peak.
I think you need instructions for the Rubicon
This is what I am talking about. This is just an illustration for reference to my point. Just because the peak is "only 3 more ft-lbs" really doesn't mean a whole lot when you consider the increase in power throughout the rpm range thanks to the VVT-i.
