I just found out this Jan that in CA you need to have a sticker for each rod you have in the water so I bought 2 stickers.  It's crazy cuz I've been fishing for years with 2 or 3 rods and only one sticker.  I'm glad I never got caught - I would have had to plead ignorance but that won't hold up in court.

Ok that makes more sense. I Know in oregon you just have a license and you can only have one line in that water.  I guess I was thinking for every pole you have with you.

My son & his girl friend went fishing in the Napa River in Napa CA and they both got a tickets for no license the fish and game  told them it would only be like a $100 dollars, however when the fine came in the mail it was for $490 each so make sure you have a license.  The court date they went to is not for court it was to set up payment arrangement nice otherwise it $300 more if its not paid on time.

I just heard that in the CA constitution it states CA citizens can fish without a license. It's an OLD law.

Anyone know anything about this?

A friend showed me this a few weeks ago, and as it reads, you do seem to have the right to fish without having to have a license.  Of course, to attempt this and take it to court will cost you a ton of money and time, the outcome likely depending on the judge's interpretation.

But the dfg can kiss my :moon:.  They all too often say fees for something (read 5 pig tags for $8 went up to 1 tag for $15) will go toward special projects, collect the fees and never actually do anything about it.  I went back and forth with the dude in charge of the pig program, and he could not post any real evidence of the funds being used to improve public land pig hunting as they were supposed to.

True enough. I just like the wardens alot =) Ive met quite a few of them in the area ( saw alot of the ones that were on wild justice daily too during duck season!) and they are all great people and take care of poachers which is a-ok in my book haha

Oh yea, wardens I have no issue with, just the organization lying has rubbed me wrong.  Poachers are scum and I look forward to turning them in if seen  ;)
