Where's Tellico :yikes:

http://www.tellico4x4.com/tellico-info-main.php

The Upper Tellico ORV Area is located between Tellico Plains, TN & Murphy, NC. Tellico ORV Area is famous for being some of the best offroading in the country. Tellico OHV is home to some great off road events such as the Appalachian Jeep Jamboree, Great Smokey Mountain Venture, Dixie Run, and more...

I had read about this campground before. Maybe we should consider this area? Lots of RV hookup and they have cabin rentals as well as tent camping too.

http://www.crawfordsattellico.com/

This campground is built with the 4x4 crowd in mind! It's the only campground that we know of that has a complete outfitted shop onsite. Located just 15 minutes away from Trail #1 in the Tellico ORV area, and from Hiwassee Lake with swimming area & a marina. This campground is centrally located for the entire family to enjoy. Features include full hookup campsites with picnic tables, hot private showers, coin laundry machines, ice, gasoline, LP gas, firewood and bon fire pit. A man made "Rock Garden" and "Mud Pit" is located in the middle of the campground to test your skill & rig. A trout pond is planned for the near future. So while the kids fish, mom and dad can take their rig rock crawling without ever leaving the campground. Can it get any better than this?! Sure can, as we also have an onsite shop with TWO FULLY ENCLOSED WORK BAYS EQUIPPED WITH LIGHTS, AIR, TORCH & WELDING MACHINE. Yes, there will be an hourly charge for the use of bays, but heck, who hasn't wished for such a setup when you drag in at 10:00 at night with a broke axle or worse! New and used parts are for sale such as axle shafts, axle joints, and u-joints. Also, if the repair job is too big for you to tackle, there is a local mechanic right next door to the campground.

So it sounds like it will be a good idea to plan for that one then. And that will be really close for you so you'll definetly be there at least to visit.

AR is in Sept.
This is going to be within the next couple months. Apr. or May. We'll have to see what is good for others.
CT was talking about wanting to go, and 93Tonka amongst others.
I'm thinking mid-late Apr. early May.

I can't be ready by the fourth...we need to move that back toward the end of April.  I am real busy at work so I need to let them know about that much time off in advance.

I am def. in though.  Holy crap I have a lot of work to do!

Question:

What type of wheelin is Tellico:  Long trails Rubicon style or central parking with short trails?

I want to know if I need to pack everything on the trail with me, or just the basics cause we can drag a broken truck back to camp easily.

Day runs, with central parking. Dragging back broke trucks, and kicking back round the campfire in style. I've had enough of that packing everything you own on your rig for a weekend run for a while.

Looks like we will run out of this campground.

Nice...then it won't be critical to build the storage behind the seats by the time we go.  That reduces the work I need to do greatly.  I can concentrate on more important stuffs like fuel cells.
