Here's 93TonkaToy getting out on the trails

He almost made it to the top of this climb before his truck died and he rolled halfway back down before stopping here :yikes:

Of course we made our way to the suspension bridge

Tonka was having trouble with keeping his truck running, he got his distributor wet when he did a swan dive into the mud hole. I'm hoping Jay got the video of that, David was airborn!

We got back to the LBC to work on the truck and hang out some.
Here's Subliminal's new pup (British Mastiff I think he said) .. Andre

You can just about see him in the truck here. He was not a happy pup after getting a face full of mud :haha:

After a while we kicked back to a couple movies and a fire. Betcha can't guess what we're watching  :gap:

We have some video of Mark playing on these rocks

Then we ran into this really sweet Dodge today

Here's Mark and David checking out the front end. As you can see Mark played in the mud again and this time I had to ride back in the Mammoth. We took the seat cover off but it was still SLOPPY!

Geez...you guys were really roughing it out there!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

wtf, it don't have a mind of its own, just hook it up and it follows you, turn left it goes left, turn right and it goes right, that is unless you are backing up.

:( I wish I could have made it...... the coupler on my trailer wasn't latching on the ball. I got it to work a little now, but I thing I might have to replace something. there isn't an adjustment on this one for some reason.

when you get a sec shoot those videos up on my server.

i drove up to micanopy to take dave a front seal from my toyota parts shed. it seemed to be holding much better than the thin seal the parts store gave him. the seal i gave him was twice as thick as the one he had in there.

He made it as far as almost to Gainesville before it gave up the ghost :ack:
He said it had no oil pressure, he's not sure yet if it's the oil pump or the engine. :ack:
He called his dad to bring down a trailer and tow the truck back home. Too bad such a fun weekend had to have a crappy ending for him :therethere:
He will have a full report when he gets back.

I'll get those vids up later tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to capture AVI on my computer

damn, it had a pretty bad knock when he fired it up after changing the seal. after it built a little pressure it stopped doing it as bad and was barely noticable. i figured he would be able to get farther than gainesville thats only like 15 miles north of where we changed the seal.

Subliminal, I greatly appreciate the help you gave, and even though I didn't get to the bottom of the problem, I owe you one!  :beerchug:

and to Mark and Diane, I appreciate the invitation, the great fun, and for passing the word that I needed help.

well, after a white-knuckle ride (no trailer involved, and no heat) me and the truck are at Dad's house.  to Dad! (He had to bring the "toyota rescue vehicle" down to pull me back - his j**p cherokee)  :hahaha:  And, in light of recent developments, my plans for my vehicles may be re-evaluated. More info later. gotta get a nap.

OK cool funny episode from the weekend... One guy showed up with his kid and their friend. (I shared this thread with the son, Andy, I think, sorry I don't remember your names if you see this)  The kids were probably early/mid teens. Sunday we were on the trails and the friend looks at the AC/DC High Voltage t-shirt I am wearing and says.. AC/DC HIGH VOLTAGE! That rocks!! I have that on a pair of pajamas I have (obviously rockin parents) I was very impressed and I replied I had the opportunity to see AC/DC in the 70's when they were still playing local bars. The father of his friend standing nearby laughed. It was only in hindsight that it cracked me up that that kid couldn't even concieve of the 70's. LMAO!!!!!
Yeah, I'm old but classic rock transcends generations. That is what is cool.
