Starting in the 70's, sea levels were predicted to rise by a minimum of 6 inches by the year 2000. You want to know something amazing? They haven't risen at all. NOAA, NASA, UCSD, OSU (Oregon), and WSU all have records confirming this. In fact, one of my elective pieces during my undergrad work was with the Oregon Coast Aquarium doing a break water study on mollusks. During the study, one of the simple facts I recall was that the ocean was not rising, period. Get off the Koolaid.
http://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/sea-level/I wish we had info for the last 20000 years not just the last 130 years
We do have information for that time frame (carbon dating, etc.). Human impact on the earth has only been impacting it for the last 130 years. Anything prior to that (prior to industrial revolution) was a flat line. If you think the earth is changing at the this rate at this speed naturally, I'm sorry but that just is not the case. The earth does go through cycles but it does so over millions of years not over hundreds.

Here, read these: http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2013/09/24/alarmists-are-in-way-over-their-heads-on-rising-ocean-claims/http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/5067351/Rise-of-sea-levels-is-the-greatest-lie-ever-told.htmlI'm not going to get into a drawn out debate with an obvious alarmist type such as yourself, but you really should look into the articles you posted. The data provided in all of the articles is based upon projected and modeled data, not classical data collection. Also, NASA recently got caught red handed changing data related to climate change related issues (including past temperature and.... sea level recordings), so I would not take what they say with any credence.
The US reduced its pollution problem years ago. The problem lies with Asia. Of course we can do better as well. Things such as switching to solar and hydro power plants as well as things such as the advent of electric cars are going to help with that
We outsourced our pollution problem to Asia. When was the last large scale hydro plant built? Environmentalist will probably never let another be built in the US. Due to environmental impact. And electric cars are far from clean. The mining if the exotic material to build the cars is very polluting again we exported this to Asia and Mexico for the lithium. Then there is an issue of power production to power the cars. I know many wind farms will lay idle because they are providing more power that is needed and it is much easier to turn them off rather than turning off a coal or gas power plant.
Listening to the sources that are funded by those that stand to lose money is never an unbiased point of view. Where as the scientific community has nothing to gain but to possibly help save the planet for the generations to come. They are also the only side with data to back up their claims.
