New to the board and looking for some help. Just picked up an 86 4-runner in fairly good condition. This will be my hunting/fishing ride, not a DD. Only major issue is that it will not shift into 3rd. At idle it will slip out of first. All the other gears are fine. I pulled the shifter and the seat and the socket do not look overly worn, however there is a lot of slop in the shift pattern. Before I order a new seat and socket, I was hoping some one on here has seen this before and have any idea what could cause it. Thanks in advance for any help.
