L52 fill plug
« on: Oct 19, 2015, 05:13:44 PM »
So in the haynes/chilton it shows both bolts and doesn't say which is full plug. There are two bolts on the drivers side of the transmission (down low not the one at the top for the shifting mechanism). Which one is fill plug? I assume it's the lower one but it's pretty close to the bottom and would allow for a lot of grease in there.....definitely don't want to underfill it.

Thanks for help.....all my past experience was with w56's.

The pic only shows one bolt but mine has two....you can see the other hole in the diagram....just not a second bolt.

Or am I crazy?

Yes, it's the lower one. I just looked at mine.
