E-Locker wiring question
« on: May 27, 2015, 11:18:32 AM »
So I have dual elockers in my truck.  I want to wire them up using a Contura switch.  I was going to mimic my 12voltguy harness but I can't find a contura that is dpdt with the illumination I want.  So can someone who is much better at wiring tell me if my wiring diagram will work?

I will be using a spst contura independently illuminated switch and a 8-pin dpdt relay.

here is the 12voltguy wiring diagram I found.

this is my wiring diagram that I drew up last night.

I realize I didn't label everything. So the elocker switch is on the far left with the panel and locker illumination light in the switch, the circle with the M is the elocker motor, the 8-pin relay in the middle and the locking fork position switch as well as the locked indicator switch is on the far right.  The U and L on the fork position switch represent the locked and unlocked side of the switch.

Thoughts?

Contura V DPDT switches by Carling check out the super cool switch covers they make. I will be using these for my e-lockers.

I'm going to be running their switches for the lockers, just the spst ones. I don't want momentary switches as well as they don't say what color their dpdt ones are.  Also, their DPDT switch lights are independently wired.
