gauging insterest; part out or sell 86 4by?
« on: Mar 27, 2005, 05:20:39 PM »
I have this 86 toy 4by I picked up recently for no other reason than it was cheap and I figured I couldn't lose.  It's a shortbed carb truck with a g52(which according to Marlin he considers a g54) and the body is kinda beat, not terribly just has some dents and stuff.  The engine is supposed to be very recent, and I felt like the kid's dad was very honest so I believed him.  I still need more good weather to get it running properly, but when I bought it it wouldn't stay running on it's own, but then that's what happens when the fuel lines are on wrong.  Anyway, I have other projects lined up that are more important to me and don't wanna invest tons of time into getting this thing set up properly, so I dunno if I should part it out or sell it whole.

Sell it whole.  Ive seen a rolled 86 runner that barely ran go for $750.  If it was a 85- id say part it.  There are more valuable parts on the older ones.  But the IFS trucks are worth more whole.

Sorry I haven't responded in a while, charger for the lap top went out 2 weeks ago.  It's a reg cab, and I think I'd be happy enough if I could get $800 for it like it sits.  I'm near Redding Ca.  And 86yota, remember the two 84s I told you about?  I went and looked at them and I'm definately gonna buy em, but not till I get rid of this one.  Ask any more questions if you want, it might just take a little while to respond, and I still don't have pics but will post if I get any,    Nate
