No pics, but every electrical issue I've had can be directly traced to the "electrical contractor" I bought my truck from.  I started thinking that was code for meth-head  :shudder:  Serious charge issues resulted from him taking apart the wiring from the alternator to the main harness and cobbing in random splices without sealing out moisture.  Another resulted from him trying to re-do some of the wiring in the sub-harnesses by the battery, though my fix trail fix hasn't been re-wired since I did it about 8 years ago
RIP KYOTA

An ex of mine bought a 70's 1/2 ton chev lowrider once, that I pulled enough wire, to fill three (3) 5 gallon buckets, that went to nothing.  And a small box of switches, relays, and various items.  I still have some of it, and use.

I bought a '62 Chevy longbed stepside that had about a dozen extra lights (interior, cab markers, side markers, road lights, extra tail lights) added in,some connected and not working, some not connected and one that actually worked. When I got under the dash,I was horrified to find ALL the accessory wires fed (stripped, wrapped around and twisted-NO tape) by a bare copper romex ground wire from the battery through the firewall and across the whole under dash to the lights switch, strategically bent to not short against anything! :yikes: this truck was owned bt a 68 year old man who drove it 45 miles on the freeway every day this way. Like was described elsewhere,I removed lots of wiring, replaced almost as much (the dash lights were wired with speaker wire) and finally got it safe and functional. Then the guy told me the Title he was waiting on wasn't gonna happen, and I had to sue him to get the purchase price and my labor for the rewire. Two days before Court he showed up with a car trailer, paid me the $1200.00 in cash and took the truck back. (It's still sitting in the yard of his shop after 2 years.  :dunno: The guy is NUTS!
"HMMmmmm--What can I make outta that??"
