37 BFG KM2s PSI ????
« on: Sep 07, 2014, 09:47:20 PM »
I just got a set of 37 BFG KM2s, I haven't run these before and don't know what PSI to run them on the street and how far you can air them down on the trail.

I have them at 32 for street and tried 10 they look ok but I want to go lower if I can.

17 shown in the pic, fake beadlocks

I have a 86 runner that I put them on.

What you guys think?  How do you like these tires??

Call discount or americas tire.  They have a calculator program that will tell you what air pressure you should run for those tires on your rig for dd driving

Thanks, yeah I tried 10 and it seemed like I could go lower.  so far they work pretty good compared to my iroks and those were bias ply.

I'd be running the same as mountaintoy on 37s. 20psi on the street would be okay too.

how to the km2s ride on the street compared to the bias iroks?

Iroks were ok, I had a trailer for it before so I didn't drive it much on the street but once they warmed up they did ok, a little wobbly at certain speeds.

the KM2's are smooth as glass and super nice on he road, now I fell all kinds of other stuff that I always thought was the tires when I ran Iroks.

Cant wait to see how they do in the snow.

Still love the Iroks they grip like hell in all conditions.

I have the 35s on my runner. I run them around 35 on the street. Better mileage and wear. 7-8 on the sand and rocks.

Get some powered chalk put it on the thread in a line roll tire and adjust pressure until it leaves chalk on the ground across the whole tread
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?
