OVRAROK. My 87 4runner
« on: Jul 11, 2014, 04:04:18 PM »
This is my runner. Bought about 2 years ago. It had 31 on it when I got it. I have put new motor in it. Marlin goodies,  here's how it sits today.

yep tomorrow I will have passenger side done, its the easy side. im debating on flat pitman arm or 3/4 less drop, both from sky, need to decide so I can mount box appropriately, then plate driver side.

I like the flat pitman with ruf. Ive used the tg flat arm on several trucks with ruf and said many times I wish marlin offered one. The frame holes for the shackles are the worst part of a sas, I hate doing that for some reason. Nice work on the frame plating, looks real good.

OUch, get some saftey glasses man!

Another thing i recommend doing is making a gusset that goes along the bottom of the frame rail and is welded to the back of the spring hanger...  I had my frame crack on both sides all the way through, and so have many others.  Kiyul4130 had a pic in his build thread and thats what i copied but essentialy took a 3-4" piece of square tubeing and welded it how i mentioned above.

Shocks are on, sitting at ride height, 25 1/2 inches from frame to ground, measured right before crossmember. I hope front settles a little
