WTB 99 3rz 4runner manual swap parts
« on: May 01, 2014, 01:51:58 PM »
i am looking at swapping my auto for a manual in my 99 3rz 4runner

here are the parts i am trying to gather:

w56 transmission
w59 bellhousing
3rz flywheel
clutch master and slave c yl and hard line to connect the two.
clutch pedal assembly, i am not sure but i think the tacoma would be the same?
ECU for 99 3rz 4x4 4runner

let me know if you have anything on the list and what you want for it. i am in northern California about an hour north of Sacramento but i think i could ship some of the smaller parts.

thanks,

Ryan

Ryan- make sure you specify that you are looking for a 5 speed ecu. I think any Tacoma 5spd 97-99 would work perfect. and I have a 99 Tacoma here with the pedal assemblies still in it.

You are correct. i do need to look through and see if my runner is california emissions or not, from my research there is a different ECU part # for federal vs california emissions through 5/99. 6/99 on seems to be the same for the 3rz.

I am not sure yet if the taco ECM and runner are the same, i hope they are because you see alot more 3rz 5 speed tacos.

what do you want for the pedal assembly? i can come pull it when i get back.

I think any CA 5spd taco ecu would work for your application (W56). as far as those pedal assemblies, you can come get them any time. we could work out a trade or something. let me know
