How to wire a 22re alternator?
« on: Apr 28, 2014, 03:26:50 PM »
The deal is I'v put a 20r in a samurai, Im now trying to wire up a 22re alternator. I dont know jack about electrical but from my research I'm thinking..

Toy white sense wire looped to battery stud on alt.

Toy yellow wire to samurai charge light wire.

Toy red wire to samurai keyed hot wire.

Charge wire to battery.

I thought the F toy guys might know about this. can anyone confirm this will work and not kill my new $150 alternator? I'v seen talk of diodes in the wiring? can I assume there allready in the samurai's wiring and Im good to go? I dont know anything about this.
