Opions and recommendations please.
« on: Feb 01, 2014, 11:45:22 AM »
I have my truck back on it's feet again and after installing a stock IFS rear housing I lowered it two inches, By removing the blocks and taking one leaf out of the front.  I know I still need bump stops installed, My shock mount need moved and my rears are shot, Need new ones. I also think my front drive shaft may be to short. I also think I need to notch the front cab mounts for shackle clearance.  Need some tabs installed for my brake lines also.

So all that being said what do you guys see?  Good? Bad? Ugly? Anything you think I would like to hear. This is my first ever build like this and I know nothing.

nice first build. id  trim that shackle and the body mount like you said or try boomarangs. how many leafs are in your ruf? id suggest running 6 sometimes 7 on a heavy rig. from the pics it doesn't look like it would hurt to throw an extra leaf in the pack and maybe stagger the leafs a bit more. also i see you cut the clamps on the front springs. thats good way to bend/break the main imo. hogcanyonhopper has some good pics of ruf in his latest build.   iv got an 18'' slip on my front shaft (overkill) it uses id guess 10-12''. thats my  :twocents: oh and bump stops front and rear :D
