Looking for an L45 Transmission for my 1981 Yota. Located in the Bay area. Willing to drive many miles within CA.

I have a 1981 shortbed with a 22r. Would that transmission work.. sorry i'm a newb.

well, the L43 came in the 79, 80 trucks and is a side shifting 4 speed. it would work in your truck but the L45 is a better tranny and L52 even better. When I bought my 80 I had the tranny re-built and then went with a W56 not long after that so it has been sitting ever since.

Megaphoneman... What condition is the transmission in? Would love to get it for under 200.. but all depends on the condition i suppose.

I got a l45 trans in good shape in Santa Barbara area if the other deals don't work out for you.
