thinkin about lettin my baby go. Ive been workin on her for about 3 years now and im lookin to move on and start something new. i got an 88 toyota pickup that started out as an ifs 22re auto truck that i did a 5speed swap on completely rebuilt turbo swap and front axle swap on parts and things that ive changed include the following
front axle has been rebuilt with all new seals and bearings. dirty 30 axle shafts and birfields. 3rd member is out of a 6cyl and has a detroit locker in it very reliable with 488 gears with solid pinion spacer
rear i just changed the gears to 488s with a crush sleeve
front sas kit was trail gear i changed the shocks to pro comps but i still have the bilisteins they were just to long
rear kit is trail gear rear long travel springs 6 inch shackles 14 inch bilisteins located on the top of the axle
i swapped in a 5 speed tranny and did trail gear 4.7 low range gears in the tcase which are awesome
motor was completely rebuilt from top to bottom...bottom end is .02 over with all new everything crank included...the head was a new factory head from toyota....got the turbo rebuilt all new seals and bearings motor runs like a rapped ape never had any problems and is very powerful running about 10psi of boost
tires are brand new mickey thompson baja claw ttc and are awesome probably the best tires ive ever owned
body of the truck is in very good condition no holes bed is a little rough but works frame has no holes and is in pretty good condition ive been over everything with a fine tooth comb and its very solid truck only has 59k miles on it
