I have almost the same set up in my 84. I moved my box forward till it hit the radiator support. I wish I had cut the support and went a little farther.
It doesn't hit now but it is still kinda close.

I have 7 leafs in my RUF right now but I am gonna pull some to lower the front., because, I don't like running the blocks in the back.

I'd like to jump in on this RUF discussion (as old a post as this may be) with a question as I'm setting mine up now on a build.  I'll post the question again in my build thread once I get photo privileges.  Sorry I can't put pics up yet...  I'm setting up the front hanger (currently tacked in place) with eyelets located at leading edge of the frame.  It's on an 86 Runner after stripping the IFS so I have no guide or reference as to where a stock hanger would be but I think I'm 1-2" forward.  I have Sky Boomerangs on the rear of the spring that are negative enough with no load to be 1/2" from hitting the FRONT of the body mount support.  I went with boomerangs to avoid hitting the REAR of the body mount support.  My plan is to load the frame back up with drivetrain and body while still tacked to get an idea where the shackle angle will sit.  My hope is someone else has set their RUF up on rails as I am doing that can make me feel a little more comfortable with this negative shackle angle.  I'm pretty sure the boomerangs will address the compression hits but now I'm concerned I'll have a just positive shackle angle once loaded and hit mount on droop.

Any thoughts?

Here's some pics showing where I have the front hanger tacked in and the unloaded shackle angle.  I'll be loading up all the weight back on the frame to figure it all out, but figured I'd add the pics in to demonstrate my struggle for others once I get it all worked out.  I'll post pics of the shackle angle with it loaded once I get there.

You will not know what your shackle angle will be until you have it sitting on all fours with the engine and transmission/T-case in.

Understood, just asking of this unloaded angle is looking too negative to anyone.  20 degrees negative just seems to be excessive at this point.  I was expecting less and it surprised me.

Get a few buddies to stand on the front. Mine was like that with no power train and now I'm sitting good. Withe the motor and everything else like bumper winch it adds up quick.

You should be just fine. Get some weight back on that thing then address the issue from there.

I would agree with you here.  Seems like the shackle should attach at least as far forward as the front of the cab mount, with the bolt kinda centered in line with the vertical line.  Right now it looks like it'd want to go negative when it drops.
