Topic: A340F Trans Length

Anyone know the length of an A340F trans from bellhousing to t-case mounting face?

I'm playing around with ideas for a faster buggy.  Thinking 1uz with an A340F behind it, but it might be too long to realisticly stick in a buggy.

Any chance dual cases would hold up to a 1uz powered 3500lb buggy on 37s?  I know I could do an AW4 trans and bolt a D300, NP231, 241, or atlas behind it.

I'll crawl under mine tonight and give you a number. I actually think I posted this measurement in a A340 thread on another forum. I get you a number.

Front of bell housing to rear driveshaft flange- ~49"
Front of V6 adapter plate to rear driveshaft flange- ~25" this is dual case length so trans would be 24" to where cases mount.

Nope, I've picked them up and moved them around and they are heavy.  But then I'm old and broken down too.
