fj80 Axle on first gen
« on: Oct 30, 2013, 10:00:29 AM »
So i wan to install an fj80 axle in the front of Trixxie the trekker...does any one have any good info on this install?
I will probably keep leafs...its an 81 Toyota. Id like to know how much wider i need to make the front hanger... and so forth.
I cant find a whole lot of definite information on this...  but i defiantly want to do it.  I wouldn't be apposed to linking it...just not huge on the lingo, and would need some help figuring that out.

I put a fj80 under my 85 4runner; look through my thread, then ask questions.

Hey Marshall, there is a guy over in Watsonville who has a couple for sale.  I think he wanted something like $400.  It's in for sale stuff.  High pinion but not locked.

There is no good Low budget option to run Leaf springs with the fj80 axle. The options that are out there are well worth the $. There is more info out there then out have found I am sure of that, look for it and ask specific questions.
