woundering why my tranny is stuck in reverse... 4wd works, it wont shift into any gear, when i had it off the truck it was shifting through the gears but when i installed it i left it in reverse and now its  stuck.. need help lmk thanks

When the vehicle is not running, can u shift it through the gears? We're going to need a bit more information.

Yes when i had the tranny out of the truck it shifted throught all the gears but when i put it in the truck it got stuck in reverse, ryt now the stick is in neutral, but the gear is in reverse.. And it wont move into another gear

We need more info:
Did you replace the clutch?
Were you replacing a bad transmission?
How did it go back together, easy and simply bolt it together, or did you have to force it together with the bell housing bolts?
Can you put the transfer case in neutral(point between HI/LO 4wd), and turn the front drive line?
Have you removed the transmission, to see if it will shift with it out again?
