leaf springs
« on: Aug 24, 2013, 03:26:36 PM »
So is it true Marlin doesn't sell leafs anymore? Im looking to get front springs again. Years ago i got some from marlin and they were great springs i had them for about 8yrs. I since sold that 4runner and recently picked up another 1 and want the same springs. Trail gear springs are crap and i have heard that all pro sources their springs from the same manufacturer that marlin used but Im not positive. Does anybody know if this is true?

I was at marlins a couple of months ago picking up some parts and asked if the springs were the same as they used to sell and they told me that they were. After that I bought a set and they were the exact same. Even had the same stickers in the same spot as the ones I had bought from marlin for my previous rig.
83 shorbed pickup. 22 re swap. Dual ultimates, l52hd tranny, 5 " marlin trailflex lift. Yukon 529. Grizzly in rear zip locker front. And a bunch of other stuff....

So you bought new springs from all pro or marlin that were the same as marlins older springs ?

Or does marlin still sell springs? I looked online and they don't have them on the web site anymore it says for springs to contact their friends at all pro?

Marlin and All Pro had the same manufacturer of springs.  But Marlin doesn't sell them anymore.  They must have had some springs left over from when they sold them.

I bought a set 4 years ago from marlin for my first rig. Then I sold that rig and got an 85 runner so the wife and kids would fit. When I was building the runner I had to get new springs. I got them from all pro. They are the same spring. Awesome flex!

Thanks guys that's exactly what i was hoping to hear. The Marlin springs i put on my old runner years ago were awesome but i eventually turned it into a buggy. I recently got another runner for the same reason to fit family and was hoping for the same springs. I was told by someone that they sourced them from a company in sante Fe springs here in so cal. But i wasn't exactly sure. I just ordered a set from all pro right now

Thanks again guys
