in car dvd player help needed
« on: Aug 06, 2013, 08:18:21 PM »
We have a Performance Teknique dvd player model ICBM-9514D in our 06 Pacifica..... Pretty sure it is aftermarket or a dealer add-on... But not factory Mopar.

I have found units similar to it online, and have also found that company still in business.....

Here is the issue with that, we have 2 headsets for it, we want more.... I think they operate on IR..... The headphones it has are BOSS brand model HP 10.....

Can I get any IR headphones to work with it? Or do they have to be special?

This looks very close to the unit we have:

The headsets look the same as this:

yes, I know this isn't a Chrysler site, I have this posted over there as well.... the more eyes I have reading it, the more help I can solicit

You should check with an audio/video automotive shop, they should know what can be used.

Just go to Amazon and type in "infrared wireless headphones" Jim!

This is the info you need:
Built in Dual IR Audio Transmitter
A:2.3MHz / 2.8MHz
B: 3.2MHz / 3.8MHz

I didn't know if there was anything special you needed to do.....

I tried emailing the company last night, and got an delivery subsystem failure of not being a valid address.... today I called them, and they said they don't give out that information to the public

the place really sounds like it is a front company...... like how 4 wheel parts is owned by transamerican that owns a lot of companies....
