I know you said you have tested your MAF...In what way did you test it? Or what was the method you used to test?

My daily driver happens to be a '98 2rz Tacoma so I swapped them out and have been running it everyday since.?
 Both are good.
I have no check engine light on at this time?

I've got some schematics for the 97, but not the 98....  Check to see if you are getting power to the MAF or any of the other sensors.  I have had limp mode occur because of one power wire not hooked up..  I had a good friend and wiring guru for the RZ's come and take a look.. 20 minutes later purring like a  :chillpill:kat.  He said none of my sensors had power and the motor was just in limp... 2500 rpm rev limit and idling rough.

I will check it out. Thanks, so close it's getting frustrating. I was just about to take the wiring out and send it away, but i have the engine running, so I obviously have the EFI relay, fuel pump etc. satisfied.

Been told that appears in limp mode. So grounds should be OK, although not ruling anything out.
 Thanks

Did you check power at the maf sensor? Off of the wiring harness?
