carrier replacement

If I use the same diff housing ane gears can I replace the carrier without resetting pinion depth? I understand backlaeh would have to be set though
'81 pickup 5vzfe, r150f, 35's, welded 5.29's, f150 rear springs, Rears up front, TG dual adapter w/ 2.28's

Yes. Check your BL now along with the pattern. Try hard to recreate what you have now, that's what your gears have worn to.
