On board air HELP
« on: May 12, 2013, 07:49:52 AM »
I have a 81 yote i with a stock ac pump i put it, I got the on board air kit from Davez off road. I have no idea how all this goes together and dave has been 0 help on this. if anybody has pics please post. And one more thing the pressure switch he sent with the kit is 200psi off and 165psi on. That seems a little high to me.  Thanx
Its never ending!

Buy another pressure switch from a place that sells parts for big trucks. (Air brakes and such) Mine is a 120 off & 90 on, about $20.00. I run it into 2 small tanks 7 gals +/- and works fine for 37s.

Here is a diagram of a typical OBA system. Modify to your needs. If you are using the stock rotary compressor you will need to add a drip oiler to the intake side of the compressor. If you do not use one you will burn up the compressor.

There is a lot of info on OBA systems here;
