New Lighting Products at Marlin Crawler!
« on: May 11, 2013, 04:18:37 PM »
We do a lot of nighttime wheeling and have always wanted to offer lighting products to keep you crawling deep into the night. Our search finally ended when we discovered Vision X's high quality light products and are very happy to offer them to our customers!

New "Lighting" Catalog is available here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/air-electronics/lighting

To get an idea of why we feel confident with Vision X's products, take a look at this toughness demonstration video:

High Performance Replacement Headlights

The most obvious upgrade is headlights. Vision X offers a great high performance upgrade option for 7" round and 5" x 7" rectangular headlight applications. The main points of interest are:
- DOT 50-state approved
- Full SAE-certified clear glass lens
- Aluminum housing for durability associated with Rock Crawling as well as to dissipate heat for longer bulb life
- Advanced reflector design outputs 45% more light than OEM
- Replaceable H4-type headlight offers simple maintenance and a wide range of bulb types / outputs.

More info here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/air-electronics/lighting/high-performance-replacement-headlights

These are a direct replacement for all 1969-1987 FJ40-FJ60 Land Cruisers as well as 1979-1995 Hilux Pickups and 4Runners.

Premium Superwhite Headlight Bulbs

Great headlight assemblies should have great headlight bulbs. For this we offer Vision X's "Premium Superwhite" headlight bulbs. These differ from ordinary H4 bulbs in two ways:
1) Vision X developed a unique blend of Xenon and Halogen gasses to output a brighter, whiter light. The result is 30% more light output than your OEM headlights, meaning Vision X was able to retain a DOT-approval of 55-watt low beam / 60-watt high beam yet produce the effective light output close to 80-watt bulbs without needing to upgrade your factory wiring harness. Very cool.

2) The light blue filter on each bulb is an electrostatic coating instead of some cheap-o coating. This provides a longer lasting coating that produces a more natural white light. What are the benefits of a natural white light? Increased depth perception, reduced eye fatigue, and more vivid road signs and reflective markers for increased driving safety.

More info on these can be found here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/air-electronics/lighting/premium-superwhite-headlight-bulbs

LED Rock Light & Strobe Kit

Since all we do at Marlin Crawler is Rock Crawling, offering lighting products wouldn't make sense unless we offered some sa-weeeet Rock Lights! Again, Vision X fits this bill by offering the coolest Rock Light kit we've ever seen!

Check this out:

These lil LED pods are sweet. Each pod contains 15 LEDs: 4 center and 11 perimeter. They appear concentrated in the above video but they actually flood a good amount of useable light. The system has 11 different light strobing modes with different strobing speeds as well as two modes of sound/music synchronization modes with adjustable sensitivity. They really are a lot of fun! In all the system has 120 LED lights that only draw 0.67 amps. Great as Rock Lights, and can also be used for engine, interior, or cargo lighting, work lights or for cruising your local neighborhood. Instructions are included as are all mounting hardware. We like this kit a lot!

More info here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/air-electronics/lighting/led-rock-light-strobe-kit

Optimus LED Driving Light Kits

And finally, because we wheel at the Hammers with nighttime long desert road driving, we wanted to offer a compact yet capable Baja-style driving light kit with a low power draw of an LED kit. We took a look at Vision X's Optimus LED Driving Lights which is definitely high enough of quality to include in our catalog!

These compact units pack a serious lighting punch. Vision X developed and is in the process of patenting an "IRIS Reflector" technology that enables a high performance 10-watt LED light to output over 600 lumens & 700 feet of useable light. From what we've seen, these lights have a much higher output compared to other similar sized units, and based on the first video posted above, they are extremely durable for Rock Crawling! We certainly can't wait to check these babies out in Johnson Valley! Additional features include an on-board digital thermal manager to protect the LED from overheating, and a full wiring harness complete with high quality waterproof German connectors. You've gotta see these in action!

More info here: http://www.marlincrawler.com/air-electronics/lighting/optimus-led-driving-light-kits

Stay safe with great visibility while night Rock Crawling with Marlin Crawler!

Regards,
BigMike

I'm a light junky.  I have a 6LED bar at 3watts each.  It hurts with your eyes closed.   I would love a couple more.  Some 10watt LED bars from VisionX would be nice.

Oh yeah mine flashes and it helps when pulling people over or passing on the highway. :driving:

We are now carrying Genuine Toyota headlight adjusters! We currently have in stock headlight adjusters for 2nd gen Pickups and 1st gen 4Runners, and will have other applications in stock soon. This is a great item to check when upgrading to our new high performance headlights as the plastic becomes brittle and breaks down over time and the screw eventually succumbs to corrosion. We will keep this thread updated as we release adjusters for other applications!

curious if anyone has any install pics or output pic on these yet? looking to spend some money on lighting and wondering if I should start with what I already have(headlights).

We are a complete distributor for VisionX. Call in with their part number and we can get it for ya

I am going to (finally) get some action photos of the headlights, the H4 bulbs, and the Optimus driving lights this weekend at the Hammers

We've got two exciting things to share about VisionX's H4 replacement headlight bulbs we carry:

1) They now come with a Lifetime Guarantee!
Even under normal bumping, rocking, and jarring of Rock Crawling, if a bulb goes out then VisionX will replace it for you for free!

2) Marlin Crawler is now the 3rd largest distributor in the world of these great headlight bulbs!
We ship em on a daily basis and are constantly restocking so you don't have to wait!

If you've been looking for a H4 bulb that outperforms and is lower priced than premium store brands, and is also warrantied with Rock Crawling, then look no further than here:
