I thought it looked like it would be a crawler.

ditched the heavy ass 60/14 bolt..got a pair of Ruffstuff 9" housings, started mocking em up, got most of engine/trans/transfer mounts/skid plate/"backbone" done..now vacation time..

rear is done minus rear upper shock mounts..front will get same treatment.. :biggthumpup:

Interested in that rear suspension setup.  Is it used in desert applications?  What kind of travel are you expecting?

34" travel with 18" shock...16" shock gives 30"....i will use 16" rear, 14" up front for 30' rear travel, 26" front  :smokin:

Can you explain a little more?  I thought the leverage would change with a cantilever and then would need different springs.

my previous expierience with is the springs rates more or less stay the same..the benefits are more wheel travel/less shock movement, higher wheel rate/lower shock speeds, optimal shock angles-the shock progressively gets 90 degrees at full bump with cantilever arm, making it a "progressive/rising rate" suspension, and finally lower unspung weight...your basically just moving the shocks from a less than ideal place to THE ideal place..more sprung weight, less unspung weight

this is one wilde build and I love the idea of huge tires and stock ride hight.  Interested to see how the rear motor is going to work out.
