Winters AW340 Shifter-upgraded
« on: Apr 06, 2013, 06:27:26 PM »
Thought I'd try one of these Maverick Performance/Winters A340 Shifters out for now. I added a switch kit that can control the trans, 1-4 electrically and with the floor shifter at the same time hydraulically, so engine braking with each gear when downshifting. On this one I modified the stock shift plate so I could get easy fwd to Reverse shifting but still have good stops in 1st, 2nd and 3rd which are the most used gear when wheelin' I also machined out a "billet" mounting plate that I can mount On-Off switches in on the left side plate. Now to rebuild the center console for it.

Usually the factory shifter is loose because the pivot bushings need replaced. And I haven't got this new one installed yet, I'm rebuilding/building up my 2RZ right now head should be done next week, then I have to set up the LCE cams and finishing putting the motor together, then install the shift improver kit for the A340 and then the shifter so I can run the crap out of it all.
