I need a shifter for my 151.
What other trans have the same shifter?  Any 19" would work ?

A G 52 works , the bases interchange but the G52 shaft bends in the opposite direction so you would need G 52 shifter boot also

Hey Homeless, how much for a shifter? Marlin only gets $20 core charge when I order my close ratio kit.

I would get it from marlin . I was mostly just giving you the info. ( G52 swaps fine with R series ) I have acess to trannys but I'm really too busy to get one on its way as they are 75 miles away.

I needed a shifter for my R151F and couldn't find one either. Marlin's shop told me R150F and flip the base backwards so thats what I did. Been running it a few years. I "MAY" have had to mod the bolt holes? I don't remember. It wasn't too hard to do. I have pics. PM me.

Not sure of your message . Did you want  me to try and find you a base? Is marlin confurring that a G52 works?  I have that right now on my R151 and it works. I wanted to keep my G52 style boot and the new seat I just put in the shifter base.

You quoted me. I was just saying I used a R150 F shifter with the base installed backwards as per Marlin's shop. Just giving the OP another option.

This is my R151F with the R150 shifter and base.

I'm good to go. No parts needed for 2manytoys.

OK I'll look for a R150 shifter shaft next time I'm at my stash

Much appreciated Homeless Dog. I would prefer to borrow only until Marlin has the short shift kit in stock.
As I said, They only get $20 core charge.

Kirk My shop where I hang has one for $40 shipped, you could do pay pal and Credit card. Heres his # its Renegade Offroad in Bozeman . Talk to Rob 1-406-556-1222. I personal found the part ...its a "left hand bend shift lever. It wasn't in the tranny just by itself but should be a R150

Heh Capt. I don't have easy internet access reason for delay response. I'm at that shop now and I found another R150 shift lever thats still in the tranny so definitely have one for ya. I have an extra R151 tranny I want to sell as well. I have an R151 in my rig now but just bought another truck and it has a Marlin rebuilt R151 that I'm going to swap into my truck. The tranny that I want to sell has been in my truck for a couple of years and works fine. Whats it worth? $600? (W/O T case)

Thanks for all the work "Homeless Dog". I just happened to check Marlin store and low and behold they are shipping shifter kits again?????? I thought I was on the notification list but never heard anything about being back in stock??????
Pretty shady deal in my opinion. Why do they offer a service if it doesn't work?????

 Thanks for the trouble, Capn.

You are quite welcome for the trouble, nice of you to say. I quit YT and pretty much "these" Toyota sites due to lack of appreciation when you help someone. Let me know how you like the shifter, not a priority with me but I am curious about it. I sent emails to Marlin and other companies before never getting a response. Whats the point of a service if they don't respond. AND while I'm on it, last summer one of my clients bought a lot of stuff from Marlin. We also ordered ALCAN springs which took 6 weeks. When they came I bolted on Marlins U bolt flip kick. I got one on and started on another. I looked across to noticed the plate bent and so did the U bolts. On calling Marlin they said it was too late to make a claim as it was past 30 days since purchase. I torqued. them to 90 lbs which is right on according to the Alcan chart for a 9/16 bolt.  I used a Snap/on torque wrench and even checked it. Their plates are only 1/4 inch thick. The reason I didn't do TG as their stuff is mostly CHINA. Marlin wouldn't make it good so they lost a lot more of biz. with me and my client. We went with FROR which are 1/2 thick , mine are from AOR (defunked) and they are 3/8 thick. I also didn't like the way do the pass side bolt holes on their plates. I will buy my crawler from them but nothing else ever. If they want to delete this or kick me off I don't care. Luck with your project
