If I can't get a Yoda filter I use Fram toughguard  :psss: It is what my local toy dealer suggested and as far as fram filters go I've used them for years and I have NEVER had a problem with them. I used to work for PARKER Tech. and we maid the seals that went in oil filters and from what I was told about 85% of the oil filters are made exactly alike by the same company they just paint 'em different colors and then they sell 'em 2 fram and pureolater motorcraft etc. just my  :twocents: and it don't mean diddley squat I think most people use what their Dad used I know I do.

Fram filter are garbage simple as that.  They have less than half the filtering media that even the discount filters do.  I use Napa gold unless I am changing the oil on the weekend then its wally world. :gap:  But that doesnt last very long anyway.  I change my oil every 3 months, usually at about 2k.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Definitle a good idea just to pull the valve cover and inspect the timing chain and related parts.  I had a ticking sound from mince a while back, only at idle.  It took me forever to figure it out.  It sounded like the number four valves, or the egr, or the valve contacting the valve cover.  all that.  changed oil and filter.  I couldn't get rid of it.  Long story short, silicone gasket instead of paper on the timing cover got into the galley for the tensoiner, and made it stick, causing the chain to have slack.  That noise traveled down the block and sounded like a valve on the number four cylinder.  Anyway, check out the timing components, good luck

throw that chain tensioner away, its not holding anypressure after the engine is off,   trash that sucker.    also  go with a toy filter,  or wally world, i do try to stay away from fram and yes ive cut a few apart, of all brands

let that motor get good and warm then adjust if its mildly warm say, warm to the touch but ok to hold hand on go .007 and .010
