33s on the 60
« on: Dec 17, 2012, 03:15:38 PM »
currently have 30x9.50 o stock 15s.
the plan is to bump up to a 33x10.50 we also will be going to a 15x8 wheel.
im looking into the goodyear wrangler mtr, bfgoodrich km2s and the cooper mtrs
i have looked online and it seems that what i would like to do will work with no lift if any one has 33s on a stock fj60 will itwork? and another thought is to do a small lift no bodylifts.  any help on a cheaper 0-4  inch lift would be a lot of help. thanks

I've run 33's for many years with Old Man Emu heavy lift and 4.11 or 4.56 gearing.  Great combo.
Did Toyota accept a government bail out?

You can run 33's on a 60 with a 15x8 rim.  Make sure, minimum 3.5" BS.  If you can, see if you can fit a rim to
the front before you buy.  TRE and caliper clearance are the issue.  For minimal lift,  I can only recommend OME.
I've been running them for years and they are the best.  If you can find new stock height leafs, it will probably give
you 2" of lift, just getting back what has sagged away.

I have 305/70/16 goodyear duratracs.  Really good tires.  I have the short add leafs front and rear from man a fre, and the CCOT 1" shackles.  The tires rub a bit when there's a lot of weight on the 60.

Oh ya stock gearing currently and it blows.  I have a set of 94 FZJ80 axles though that are ready for the swap.
