that completely depends on condition of the motor.

when i did my 3.4L swap, i went and checked out a rolled 99 tacoma.  Listened to it run, did a compression test, and when deciding everything seemed good i pulled the motor, paid and took it home.

i believe it had 130,000 miles on it.  i paid 800 for it, for everything motor related except for exhast from the cat forward.

ha sorry I didn't explain it well. My runner blew a cylinder and the shop told me i needed a new engine and so did my uncle. I take good care of it and its my baby but dont want to drop a motor if its not worth it. :)

Honestly find out how much you can find a motor for that's good.

I would put a new one in/rebuild it if i had one with only 150,000 miles on everythibf else
