I need an e-brake handle and cable for first gen pick up so I can set up my t-case e-brake. My truck did not have the handle in it when I bought it and would like to find the one that will bolt right in. If anybody out there has one or knows someone that does, let me know. I'm located in the Yuba county foothills about an hour above Sacramento. Figured I'd try on here before I try scrounging the wrecking yards.

apparently, Mr Undefined Taco has one, but he wont tell me if he can ship it or not. I pm'ed him about it and have not heard anything back. Love how someone responds to my parts wanted thread saying they have what I need and then thats it, nothing more said.

I started to remove mine just earlier tonight in fact, but it's spoken for by a friend already. If he doesn't need it anymore, then I'll let ya know. It's from my 1981, I'm in Fresno, I frequent the south bay area, and can ship too. I'll should have an answer within a week.

Long story summed up quick: Changed original '81 rear axle to IFS rear axle, built brackets to fit narrow e-brake cable. Later changed to Tacoma rear axle which is much wider, so I just removed my original, narrow e-brake cable and zip tied the handle in place. The handle has just been sitting in my cab doing nothing for the last 3 or 4 years. I got the entire handle assembly and cable that runs down to the pivot assembly under the cab (however I no longer have the pivot assembly, just the handle assembly + cable in good condition). I am upgrading to rear disc brakes soon after which point my line locks will finally work as an e-brake substitute (not really an "emergency" brake however).

Sorry, I actually haven't done anything with my setup: Haven't removed it; Haven't contacted my friend.

I think I'll see him at the Round Up, so I'll see how things are going and will let ya know if I can remember

It's yours. I just need to remove it and then plug the hole in the firewall.

I only have the handle and cable assembly that leads to the pivot near the t/case, but I no longer have the pivot...
