I haven't been able to find any real answers by looking online, and I'm sure this has come up before for a few of you.
I have an 89 Toyota 4x4 with the 22RE, and the W56C transmission. I'm pretty sure the input bearing is shot. It's loud in everything but 4th. I don't know how hard it would be to change, or if other parts are damaged. I don't have much money to repair this thing, so I figured a used replacement would be better.
As far as I can tell from the Marlin Crawler site, there is no real difference between the W56C and the W56E. If I buy a W56E will it bolt up to my old transfer case (W56C)?
If I can get the transfer case with the W56E, what do I have to do with the speedometer cable/sensor to make it work with the mechanical cable? I'm pretty sure the W56E has a sensor instead of a cable.
Thanks guys
