Topic: What is a fair price for different toyota transmissions?

Im currently looking for a 4x4 W56 tranny and plan on calling multiple auto salvage yards tomorrow to get quotes. Just curious as to what members on here think is fair price for a "decent" fully functional used tranny without the transfer case? With a transfer case? I will also be selling a 2wd tranny which is either W55 or W56 and a 4x4 L50 or L52 tranny and would like opinions of what i should be asking. Im not looking to get top dollar, was mostly just wondering if between the two i might be able to make enough to pay for a used W56. Anyways any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The 2 wheel drive is out of an ext cab 1987 22re pickup. I believe it is a W55. It is located in San Diego. I also have the rear drive shaft that attaches to it as well if interested.

I paid 225 total for a w56 & 2 transfer cases on a local bbs. I see them (trans+transfer) for 175 to 200 locally. I never buy from the yards unless I can find it somewhere else. They want way too much for their "gold plated parts".

up here in Orygun... i wouldnt pay much over 100-150 for a trans and 30-50 for a t case... 2wd trans i dont look for ....
