Topic: smells like it running rich weird starting?

so the 86 runner wiht a 93 22re swap. if started hard like the cold start injector isnt working. but it you crank it for a second then turn the key back then crack it agin it starts rite up. smells like its running rich any ideas?

i just got it its a wheeler but i been driveing it to work seems todo ok on gas i was gona trow new plugs in it and a cold air intake. maybe tune the mass air flow back a click. drive it for a few weeks and see whats up

that's weird that you say this. my 3.0 89 pickup does the same exact thing can't finger it out for the life of me. i thought that it may have been a vacuum leak or a vac line in the wrong spot after the swap.  have you messed with any of that stuff???

dam toyotas anyways. havnt had mine long anuff to know whats going on only put 100 miles on it. all keep updated next week all play with the motor and see what i can come up with

If you have a vacuum it will be running lean.

Vacuum line in the wrong place could make it run rich.

Pull the plugs and read them, that will tell you if it is lean or rich.

ya that was my idea look at plugs and make sure its got ngk plugs in it

pulled plugs its running perfic. been starting better idk guess it just smells bad when it runs lol
