That being said, I removed my front axle with springs.

Why did you have to pull the axle?

the frame need to be finished, needs new bushings, rebuild the axle, and so I can access the engine and trans without crap in my way.

Are you going to move your steering box forward and rotate it?

ill probably just rotate it and use a flat pitman. i want to move it forward as less as possible.

I would just move it forward now.  That way it will be easier since the axle is out, and it will give you easier access to plate/brace the frame, which i recommend doing to prevent cracks where the hangar meets.

i mean i need a new core support or build a 1x1 tubing structure anyways. but once the high steer is in, i can mock the box up so its forward enough

Here's those pics.

Here you can see where I tucked it. Don't mind the bar in front of it, it's a bumper support

THK Matt

you run a flat pitman arm. idk if i wanna wait for a flat pitman arm, i may just push mine through the core support.
how you have the box, is how I wanted to do mine intially, but they only had the drop pitman arm kit in stock.

Nimyad

You can run a flat pitman arm how I did mine, especially since you're is a taller than mine. My draglink and tie rod are almost parallel, that's the only reason I ran a flat pitman arm.
This is a really blurry picture and was when my truck was about 3" lower, but you can see how flat my draglink was.

THK Matt

you think i can run my drop pitman even with it rotated up like that?
