Perfect crawler project!
I have a 1984 Toyota longbed (straight axle) 4X4 with a 1997 Chevy s10 motor and auto tranny. All work done by a shop in Sacramento. The truck has been refferee'd and has a sticker on it for smog. It now smogs as a 1997 s10. The previous owner completed the swap about 3 years ago, and it had 80,000 miles at that time. Has less than 84,000 now. This truck is very powerful for how light it is, I once put a yard or gravel in the bed and it pulled it with ease. I havent wheeled this truck much besides cruising to the snow once. The truck runs awesome and the tranny shifts perfect, 35" BFG tires are at about 60% and there is a brand new matching spare on a matching rim mounted on an in bed baja style rack. There is a decent CD player and 6x9 speakers. The odometer isnt hooked up. Some aftermarket features include:
Aussie locker in rear axle
Optima red top battery
4" HD suspension lift (can haul a yard of gravel or as much wood as you can possibly fit in the bed and not flatten leaves)
2" body lift
K&N filter
New bigger exhaust
B&M shift kit
Big tranny cooler
Newer aftermarket external fuel pump
Jet chip speed control unit (tunes shift points in tranny etc.)
35" BFG All-terrains + 1 brand new spare w/ matching rim
Front brakes 1 month old (have brand new rotor needs to be put on still)
4" drop drag link (not installed)
Spare t-case, drivelines, serpentine belt
Tow package, and adjustable drop hitch (tows great)
Grant steering wheel
Offroad lights mounted in rear for extra back up lighting
What I want is $4400 OBO or best trades. Not in a huge hurry to get rid of just want something that is more roadworthy with working speedometer. Had several offers for trading older fullsize gas guzzlers, need something newer. Any other trades will be considered, I have cash on top if needed.
