I need some outside opinions on my no lights problem. My 83 pickup Gauge light, heater lights, markers, and all my tail light do not work anymore. However my head lights, brights, and blinkers are working fine. I checked all the fuses and none are blown. I drove it the yesterday night and now they dint work I am very confused and need help, any leads would be very helpfull. Thanks

Check your grounds, bulbs and connections.
A test light helps a lot  when checking to see if your have power...

test light would help id first check to see if you have pwr at the fuse itself then id check your stalk switch/the light switch to see if you have power going in to and out in the marker light position if you do then the problem is going to be from that point to the lights itself probally in the dash due to your dash lights not working. if you dont have pwr could be the switch or from fuse to switch.

check the fuses again this time not to see if their blown but to see if theyre making the correct contack ive had this problem and the fuse had slight corrosion on it not making contac. i over looked it at first because it was not blown.

do the lights work when the truck isnt moving??? i had the same issue with my 83 about two years ago. I fount the problem on my side marker lights.  i had removed the bulbs but never taped off the conector so every time i drove it the conector would fail (ground out) and blow fuses. kept shorting out on the inside fender.

I ran into this issue a few years ago on my 83. What ended up happening with mine was the white colored wire* i think, cant seem to remember now* that goes from the alternator to the battery somehow melted while I was on the trail. Of course come to find out after towing the rig back home, the wire burned right before being connected to the battery and somehow burned the entire wire.

All i did was put cut and take out the wire, and put in a new one. All my lights, blinkers, tail worked afterwards.

HOPE THIS HELP!

Going, going, gone
