general transmision question 84 yota x cab
« on: Feb 15, 2012, 09:32:38 AM »
yes i have a 84 Toyota xtra cab and am having problems putting it into gear. it used to shift just fine. only have to push the clutch down half to 3/4 of a pedal to disengage the clutch and take it out of gear. now i have to press the clutch down all the way to the floor board and it doesn't like to go into gear very easy. once in gear works perfectly just doesn't going into gear. im new to toy transmissions so any help  is welcome.

well, they are prob bleeding out, not being able to shift is a good clue, but then again maybe you need a clutch, so push the clutch and have someone see if the slave moves, and if it does, then you might have to check the clutch or pull the master and slave off and bench bleed it, see if it leaks, or gets blow by
