A six-foot tall plate metal sculpture, which was to be auctioned to raise much-needed funds to help Save the Johnson Valley OHV Area, was stolen before it could go to auction. Torchmate CNC Cutting Systems and its parent company Lincoln Electric built the 250 lbs. steel sculpture with the help of the public during the King of the Hammers event which consisted of over 200 individual plate steel pieces cut on site at KOH featured a four foot tall steel hammer perched atop a three foot diameter steel crown. Funds raised would benefit ORBA which planned to donate 100% to the SavetheHammers.org campaign to stop the 29 Palms Base expansion. Please help spread the word so that Torchmate's contribution can find its way into the right hands.

The question is how did they steal it with out no one noticing?  Looks heavy, it could not have been easy to carry off? Thieves suck!

WTF somebody only stole it just for the sake of stealing... What can they even do with it?? Its not even worth scrapping at 250lbs.
